I know it has been a long time since my last post! Sorry about that! We are all preparing for our new baby bubber... as Nick would say! No names picked yet, thought about a few but just can't decide!

The boys are now sharing a room and so far, so good. The 2nd night they were awake much later than I would like and I went in to lay down the law and Matt said, "I'm just singing Jesus loves me to Nick!" How can I argue with that? They both have been really sick this week and it was the first week together, so they have been falling asleep right away. We'll see what happens when they are back to there good ole selves again. Might be a different story!

I have been feeling good, just forget that I am pregnant sometimes and do more than I should, like move furniture. Sure is different the 3rd time around! The good thing is no more morning sickness! Tomorrow we go for yet another ultrasound! He needed to be checked again because with the last one they couldn't see a specific valve in his heart so they wanted me to come back when he had grown more! Same thing happened with Nick and he was fine so I am not to worried about it! He sure does move around A LOT!! Not a good sign... so did (does) Matt!

Ok so here is our first picture of the new baby! I know ultrasound pics are a little confusing so to help some of you. The baby is laying on it's back, head at the top, little arm buds under the chin, body and little leg buds at the bottom!

What is amazing is that the baby is only the size of a grape but yet you can still see everything! Really is the miracle of birth!

The ultrasound went well, the baby was so tiny they couldn't track the heartbeat but they could see it flutter. So we know that it has a heartbeat just couldn't hear it! They want me to go back in 3 weeks to make sure everything is still growing like it should be!

It is amazing that something so tiny could make me soooooo sick! It has really been hard on me this time so keep us all in your prayers... me to feel better and the kids to go easy on me, and Ben to just understand! :) Yeah right, who am I kidding! They see that I am weak and take advantage of it! Sneaky, sneaky!

A new life begins!

For those of you who still check this and don't already know, Ben and I are expecting baby #3 in July!!!!!!! We now pause for a moment of silence... Ha ha ha! I know you are all probably thinking "What! Are they crazy?" Yes we are crazy and trust me, we think the same thing!! We have an ultrasound on Monday Nov 24th so we should have a due date at that time! :)

"In the toyett (toilet)" When I asked him why would you do that?, he said, in his deep scratchy voice,"Because I did!"

That's right, Nick decided to FLUSH his buzz lightyear cell phone down the toilet! So Ben and my dad had the joy of removing the toilet and pulling it out! Apparently cell phones don't go down easily, they get stuck in the S bend in case you were wondering!

Never a dull moment in our house! Some people think the boys are entertaining... I think they are exhausting!

*sidenote here, is it just me or does it look like Ben's hair is getting thin? Hope it is just the angle. I will have his hairdresser check it out! :)

As usual I have let way to much time go in between blogging. I never know what to say so I will just post pictures and comment on what has been going on lately in our lives. We had Ben's cousins Eric and Sara along with their 3 little ones, Nate, Taylor and Tyler. We had lots of fun and played outside as much as possible!

The pictures are from our last day together at the beach! The boys absolutely LOVED the beach. We will be going back for sure this summer! Hope you are all enjoying your summer, now that it is half over! We wait all winter for summer and then it is over int the blink of an eye!

Here are a few lastest pictures. The one with Matt is how he looked when I picked him up from preschool! His teacher said if you can't paint your hair in preschool when can you do it! The problem was all the kids laughed so he thought he was pretty cool that day!

The other pictures are when the boys got a hold of some tape. See what happens when mom has to go to the bathroom! At least that is all they got into that time!

Matt's visit to Children's Hospital of Michigan...

Yes that's right, Matt and I made our way downtown to CHM by 6:00 AM on a very snowy morning a couple weeks ago. It was not any kind of emergency so nothing to worry about! He needed to have an endoscopy done so that we could hopefully find out why he has so many stomach aches and vomiting! Most of you know our struggle with that so I won't bore you or disgust you with the details. The dr thinks he has acid reflux but I really don't think that is it!

So, as of a week ago Saturday we no longer give him milk. Milk has been the only common link to all of it, so I thought I would at least give it a try. We did this last May for a month and he was still sick. Just thought it was worth a shot. It is hard though because he LOVES milk! Every time we go to the store he reminds me to buy milk. =) This week he has been fine but this would have been his good week! Every other week he is sick. So we will see what this week brings.

Here are a few photos from our adventure to the hospital! He did really awesome and once again was a trooper! I always feel guilty on our way because he has no idea whats about to happen. He knew that a Dr was going to take a special picture of his tummy! He already has had tonsils removed, an MRI, an X-ray of his belly and now the scope. Poor kid!

Nick is doing great also! Hard to believe he will be 2 next month! He talks non-stop! He is the complete opposite of his brother yet the same in so many ways! He always says "Did you see that Mommy?" or "Mommy, watch this!" When he says that he is usually jumping off something, sliding down the steps or doing something to make us laugh. He is very silly!

Hope your all doing great and staying warm! It is VERY cold here right now and I hate it! I always ask myself why do we live in michigan?

This is what we hear EVERYDAY!! That is what Matt calls Grandma (Oma) and Grandpa (Opa) Heiden. We told him 2 weeks ago that we were going to Minnesota for Chrismas. He instantly got up and ran to his room to pack his "coose case" or suit case as normal people call it!! He even packed clothes for Nick. Wasn't that nice of him! He keeps it by his door or by his bed EVERYNIGHT! Little does he know that when we do leave it will be another 12 hours before we get there!!

Needless to say he is very excited!!

So I have officially decided that I am REALLY bad at blogging. I just don't update it often enough! I feel like you really don't want to hear about all the craziness that truly goes on in the Heiden house. And when I say crazy I mean crazy! The boys are soooo busy all the time and it tires me out!

We went to the cider mill today and that was lots of fun. Until we got in the car to come home with 2 little boys screaming "DOONUUUTS" the whole way home. So as you can imagine that was loads of fun. We did manage to get a few pictures that I added for ya to check out. And of course I can't seem to get a picture of the two of them when they are both looking at the camera. Oh well, it adds character right?

Matt has been doing great at school, no more tears so that is awesome! I can't believe he will be 4 in a week. Old clients always ask me how my baby is when they seem me at the salon for the first time in a while. And I always laugh because I tell them he is in school and I have an 18 month at home! Their jaws just about hit the floor!! The last 4 years have gone by so fast!

Nick is getting bigger everyday! He talks so much it is amazing! He favorites are MINE and DO IT AGAIN! Usually both are in reference to Matt. Both boys have been on the sick side the last 2 weeks. Both have colds that just won't go away! The joys of being in school!

Ben and I are doing good. Just trying to keep our focus when the boys stress us out!! I just started a new business venture this past week. I am now selling jewelry for Premier Designs! It will be a great opportunity to make some extra money and to get out of the house a little more!

Looking forward to our Minnesota trip at Christmas! Look out Heiden family because the tornado is about to hit Anoka!! Be prepared is all I can say. And be well rested before we get there!! Ha Ha

First Day of School!!

Today was a day that I never thought would come so fast!! Matt went to school! It was very bittersweet! I was excited to see him go but was also sad to see him go. He is no longer my "baby boy"! When I was pregnant with him 3.5 years ago, I made a comment to my friend that I don't know how parents can just put there little child on a school bus with no seat belt and send them on there way. She just laughed and said "you have to have the baby first!!" =) Well, I had the baby and now is time to send him on his way! :( Man does time go by fast.

I told his teacher on orientation night that it was like when you are pregnant and you go to birthing class, you are like "Oh my gosh, this is for real. This is REALLY happening!" Well that is how I felt that night, "Oh my gosh, this is REALLY happening!" Ben doesn't get it he just thinks I am crazy. Who knows maybe I am, all I know is that I can't believe his first day has come and gone.

It was really cute while he was at school, Nick wandered around the house saying Matt-moo, Matt-moo! That is how he says Matthew...it is so cute!! He is talking so much! You have to watch what you say because he repeats everything. I call him my little parrot! fun times!!

Sorry this is almost 3 weeks ago. I am so bad at posting. By the time I think about I am to lazy to walk downstairs to the computer. Plus I am enjoying the peace and quiet of both boys being in bed. =)

So, about Nick's big bash! We had a party at my mom and dad's house with all the cousins and as you can tell by the pictures he really enjoyed his cake! But that is not a big surprise since the boy can eat!

Hope everyone had a great Easter! We spent the weekend after with the Heiden family in Illinois at an indoor waterpark. It was a lot of fun. Except we thought Matt had chicken pox, but it ended up being an allergic reaction to something. At least we think so, because he never blistered like chicken pox do.

Well, it has officially been one week since we have been back from San Diego. And I have been dragging my feet ever since. It is so depressing to come back to reality... at least when you live in Michigan. It was so nice and sunny and GREEN!! Then you come back here and as you are landing all you see is brown and dirty snow. We looked forward to going out there and now it is done and over with. How sad!!!

We had a really great time while we were out there. It was so awesome to spend time with our family ! We got to go to LegoLand one day and the kids LOVED it. It was nice for Matt to finally get to do some of the big kid stuff. He is still a little on the short side but was still able to go on a few rides. We basically had fun the entire time we were gone and I think the boys would have slept for 3 days straight if given the chance.

TROUBLE!!!

Ok so I know it has been almost 2 months since my last post! I apologize. I can't believe that Christmas has come and gone. And it is now 2007... which means that I graduated from High School 10 years ago!!! That makes me feel old, which actually I am closer to my 30's now than my 20's!! How crazy is that?

Hope everyone had a blessed Holiday and a healthy New Year. As you all know Matt had his tonsils out in December because of strep month after month. Well, he has it AGAIN!! Yeah thats right he has strep and doesn't even have tonsils. The doctor said it is rare but possible. So once again we are dealing with it! Please pray that we can find a solution to this. It is very frustrating.

We are looking forward to a trip to California for my Uncle Al's 60th birthday bash in february! We can not wait to go! We are going to have a awesome time. It has been way to long since we last saw our California family!! That should be an interesting flight! We are all traveling on the same flight except for Ben and Dan. They are leaving 2 days later because of work.

Speaking of work... Ben received a promotion just before Christmas! He is now the Digital Production Manager. It is a new position for the company so there is a lot to figure out first. The problem is he is still doing his old job and trying to work on the new position. So they are trying to get someone he can train to do his old job so he doesn't have to do both!! On top of this being his busiest time of year with Daytona coming up in February. He has been working 13 hour days and also on Saturdays! He is wiped out right now! As well as stressed out!!! pray for him! =) I am very proud of him.

I am officially a soccer mom!! Ha Ha All I need is the mini van!! NEVER!! I will stick with my Durango for now!! But seriously, Matt is doing soccer on Saturday mornings! He seems to like it! So this may the start of many soccer games... at least Ben is hoping so!

And as for Nick, well I think he gets bigger by the minute! He is now 10 months old and is 24 lbs!! He is now starting to wear 18 months clothes! He amazes me! He is so cute, when ever we go out some where people always stop and talk to him because he smiles at everyone that looks at him! He is quite the ladies man!

Well, enough for now! I will try to be better about writing more often!!

For those of you who don't know Matthew ended up having his surgery today for his tonsils. Everything went well and he is at home recovering. He is such a champ! He did really well today and poor little guy couldn't eat all morning. His surgery wasn't until 12:30 so it was difficult at first to get him to understand he couldn't eat or drink anything! But he was so awesome! So keep him in your prayers the next couple of days.

I now believe the saying,'"the older you get, the faster time goes by!" I honestly can't believe how fast each day goes by. We have already been to Nebraska and back, Thanksgiving has come and gone and now Christmas will be here before you know it.

Our trip to Nebraska was interesting to say the least. It seems like it was so long ago already. What we thought would be a 12 hour drive ended up being 14.5 LONG HOURS!! I thought Iowa would never end. If you've seen one corn field you've seen them all. BORING...VERY BORING! We got in Thursday night and Matt of course was ready to party after being in the car for so long. Friday we celebrated Christmas with the family and went to see Ben's dream land!! Memorial Stadium..(.it is where the Huskers play for any of you are wondering) Unfortunately we didn't get to go in, they were having High School State Championship Games that day. We then made it to the rehearsal for the wedding, which on the way Matthew informed us that he was going to "barf" Those are his words! Now let me remind you of his horrible problem of this in the last 3 months. So we came prepared on our trip and handed in the garbage can we brought in case this happened.

So anyhow, we get to the rehearsal at church and show Matthew what he needs to do because he was the ring bearer. So the first time we went through it he decided to throw his pillow down the aisle. The next time we went through it he drop kicked the pillow across the aisle and under the chairs. So we were a little nervous to see what the wedding would bring.

So we are at the restaurant, in which he informs us again that he is going to "barf" so Ben takes him to the bathroom and in typical Matthew form, he lost it in the bathroom. At least he made it to the bathroom because we were in a little French cafe and I don't think they see many kids at this place. So we leave the dinner and go back to the hotel. Because we left so soon, Ben and I never ate so we decide to order room service and we both ended up getting sick in the middle of the night from it!! It was not a fun night for any of us!

Some how we all pulled it together for the wedding and Matt did awesome. We had to bribe him with money but it worked. He did great and the wedding was really nice. We also celebrated Michael's 21st birthday, we had so much fun... probably would have had more fun it we knew we didn't have a 14 hour drive ahead of us the next day!

By the way Matt will be having his tonsils removed on December 20th. He has to have them out because he has had strep so many times in the last couple months. He actually has it again right now. We were at the Dr on wednesday for it. He has had it 4 times since August but a total of 6 in the 8 months. Poor little guy! It still doesn't stop him from screaming. So anyhow just keep us all in your prayers that day!!

Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving! I know that I have so much to be Thankful for. We all need to remember all the blessings in our life when we're crabbing about what we don't have or what we want.

Well it has happened again! Matthew has Strep throat AGAIN!!! And yes it all started with him throwing up in the car once again!! Sorry if it is to much info but this has become my life...cleaning it up and talking about it! It amazes me on how quickly I can clean his car seat! I feel like I am part of a nascar pit crew! I have it down to a science now! I'm telling you I have become a professional at this!

So anyhow because this being his 4 case of strep in 6 months we will be seeing an Ear,Nose and Throat doctor. He will determine whether or not he needs his tonsils removed! The doctor said he has large tonsils which makes him have an easy gag reflex which is causing him to barf! (as Matt would put it) =) She also said he doesn't act like a kid with strep...I know, it's because his little mind and body just DOES NOT STOP!

On a positive note, I just have to brag about Matt for a minute! I wrote down his name and Nicks name on a piece of paper and he could identify both of them. So I wrote down 4 other kids that he goes to school with and he knew all of there names. When I asked them where the name was he could point to it! He amazes me that he knows which is which. At school he can point out which project belongs to his friends. It amazes me everyday that he knows it! Like I said I just had to brag about him for a minute because I always feel like I only complain about the things his does!

We will be celebrating his 3rd birthday on Saturday!! I can't believe my baby is 3! Hopefully we will have some pictures to share with everyone!

Nick is smiley as usual...Unless he is hungry and if that's the case he will let you know that he wants to be fed NOW!!! He is such a big boy! He will be 7 months on Saturday and is wearing 12 month clothes. And believe his clothes aren't exactly loose if ya know what I mean! Its hilarious because he is starting to respond to Matt. He likes to pull his hair and Matt usually ends up crying! Hey, I say its pay backs buddy, for all the times he has smacked Nick in the head! Matt better look out because before you know it, Nick will be bigger than him!

Other than that all is well in the Heiden household. We are getting ready for a road trip out to Nebraska for Kim's wedding. That should be a fun drive! I'm joking in case any of you were wondering!! I hope we have our camera by then because Matt will be the ring bearer and he is wearing a tux!! He is gonna be so cute. I can't wait to see him in it!

Sorry it has been so long! This is the most recent picture and it was taken with my phone. We should be getting our camera some time next week. We actually got a new one and IT DIDN"T WORK!!! A brand new camera and it didn't work. Sony wanted us to send it to their repair shop to get fixed instead of sending us a new one! So after 5 different phone calls Ben finally convinced someone to send us a new camera!! What a pain in the you know what this has been! So once we get it I will take lots of pictures.

Sorry it's been a month since my last entry but life around here has been very busy and stressful!! I will write again in the next few days. I don't have time right now, I have 2 little boys who are in desperate need for a bath!!

Strep throat, Ear infection and tooth #2...

Is what I had to deal with this week and that was only my 2 kids! Not counting all the other kids that are sick at daycare!! It has been quite a week to say the least! I am still trying to get in the swing of things! I just haven't found a routine yet!

My poor little boys this week. Both of them are sick! Matt had strep which is always fun. His history with strep always starts with throwing up! He did that in the car on Tuesday, when we were 5 minutes from home. We were so close, I could see my street sign. So of course that becomes an ordeal trying to get a child covered in you know what, out of a car seat!! Those things are a pain to clean. This is the 3rd time he has done this in the last month!!! So we have become pro's at cleaning the dumb thing! It is a good thing we have another seat Ben's truck! So, anyhow went to the Dr on Wednesday for Matt and we were back at the Dr on Saturday for Nick with an ear infection!

Poor baby, he is getting his 2nd tooth and has an ear infection on top of it! He is such a trooper though!! He has really starting to show his personality, he loves to "talk" and smile! He also loves to watch his big brother! Which concerns me that he may be getting ideas from him!! NOT GOOD!!! Matthew is one of a kind! He is just so busy that by 8:00pm I have nothing left to give and he HAS to go to bed!

Hope life is treating you all well! We are hoping to get a camera soon and maybe get some new pictures for ya! Nick is so big. At the doctor he weighed 20lbs and 6oz. Matt didn't weigh that much until over a year old, Nick will be 6 months next week! He better start walking cause I can't carry him much longer!! =)

After a few days of being crabby, Nick, not me =), I realized he got his first tooth! I can't even believe he is old enough to be getting teeth already! Although, he will 6 months old on the 28th! Where does the time go?

We all survived my first week back to work! The first day was rough! It was an unusual situation that left me alone with 6 kids, Matt being the oldest! 3-2year olds and 3 babies under 9 months! I either wanted to cry or quit! Surprisingly, I didn't do either one. I stayed strong and reminded myself that it will get better! And never again will I be alone with 6 kids!! But Matt loves it and has been doing really well!

Not much else has been going on other than the new routine around here! Matt has been awesome with the potty training except for an accident in church today! But hey, it happens to the best of us!!

Ben is still keeping busy at work and of course the work doesn't stop at home until two little boys are peacefully sleeping in there beds! It's not until that moment, when the house is suddenly quiet, that I realize the tornado that has ripped thru my house! I sit down, take a deep breath and savor every minute until I hear the sound of Matt's bedroom door opening and him yelling WAKE UP MAMA! And believe me he is not quiet when he wakes up...some of you have had the pleasure of him waking you up in the morning!! So you know what I am talking about! It is a good thing he is so cute, because some days I want to ring his little neck! =)

Finally a new post!

I know, I know!! It has been a while since my last post! I am coming to the realization that I am not so good at this blogging thing!! I don't have much to say other than updates on my kids! So if that is what your looking for, keep checking in! If not, to bad so sad, cause that's just about all your gonna hear from me!!

Anyhow we finally heard back about our water logged camera and no can do! They said it can not be repaired due to excessive corrosion! I guess you can't submerge a digital camera in water! =) We are pretty upset since we only had the dumb thing for 6 months! They said they can give us the same one for a discounted price or also upgrade for a discounted price. What a pain!!

Nick went to the Dr for his 4 month check up and weighs over 19lbs!! Yes I said 19lbs! He is such a big boy! Matthew didn't weigh that much until he was 11 months old! What can I say the boy can eat!!

Not much new with Matt, we are still working on the potty training! He was about 95% there until we went to Minnesota for 10 days! That pretty much threw everything out the window! So I have had the joy of starting all over again! All I have to say is he better be done by the time we go to Nebraska in November because I don't want to go through this a 3rd time!

Other than that life around here is good! September will be bring lots of new changes around here! I will be going back to work and Matt could be in preschool! We are looking forward to the change! It will be good for all of us!

I am going to try really hard to post more often! I can't promise anything but all I can do is try! =)

Well, not much to report about at the Heiden household! I guess no news is good news! We are trying to enjoy what is left of summer before reality hits and I have to go back to work!! I am really looking forward to it! Our church is opening a daycare in September and I will be working there. The boys will go with me and Matt will possible go to Pre-school 2 days a week. I am still unsure about him starting school, I just think he is to immature to go. But then again it might help him to go, Who knows!! He does go to Gymnastics once a week and he does really well, so maybe he will be completely different in school!.

We are leaving on Saturday for Minnesota! We are going for our cousins, Eric and Sara, who recently became the proud parents of twins...Taylor and Tyler. We are the proud God-parents of the babies and get to celebrate their baptisms with them on Sunday August 20th!! We are looking forward to seeing all of our family but are nervous of the 12 hour drive with 2 kids!! We are still debating on driving overnight, stopping half-way or putting the pedal to the metal and go straight thru! Hopefully our DVD player will come in handy! Ben is disappointed because he was going to do some golfing with his Dad and cousin but put a stop to that today after getting 4 stitches in his middle finger. He AGAIN cut his finger at work!

We are still waiting for our camera. We had to ship it to Sony in Conneticut because it was still under warranty. So hopefully we won't have to pay for any repairs on it. We were really hoping to have it back in time for Minnesota! But it doesn't look like it will happen. So hopefully we will have some new pictures soon!

Nick is getting big or should I say chunkier! He is so smiley and laughs when we tickle him! He also can roll over from his belly to his back and almost his back to his belly! I think when he is on his belly the weight of his head is what rolls him over!! =)

Sorry it has been so long since I last wrote! The pictures are from Mackinac Island, Matt playing with the hose at my sisters house and Matt sleeping on the boat on are way back to Mackinac City!

We are getting over both the boys being sick! Matt had strep and Nick had an ear infection! We unfortunately found that out after him crying for 2 hours straight at about 2:00 am! Oh the joys of parenting! I think Nick is growing by the minute! As of Tuesday he weighed 17lbs! Matt weighed that at 6 months and Nick is only 3.5 months. He has the chunkiest legs I have ever seen! You gotta love it though!

As far as Matt goes he has his ups and downs with the potty training but over all it is going well! Besides him asking any one that is around if they are happy!! If you say No then he will say "Cry?" He is a big goofball all the time! If you laugh at him one time he will keep doing it over and over! We are still working on his speech! He is definitely improving but will still do therapy in the fall! He is an awesome helper and a great big brother...most of the time! =)

I am not sure when I will be able to get new pictures up because we had a little problem with our camera! It sat submerged in water while we were on a carriage ride in Mackinac! We got caught in a down pour and all the water from the roof of the building where you buy tickets drained right onto our stroller! It was absolutely horrible! Water POURED OUT of our camera! My sister and I were in the bathroom trying to dry the stroller with the hand dryer so we could put Nick back in it. We had to ring out the water from the padding on the seat! It was awful! But other than that we had an awesome time in Mackinac. It was definitely a new experience going on vacation with 2 kids! And that was just overnight!

Nick had his ultrasound on Friday and we are waiting to here from the Dr. If I don't hear from her by tomorrow I will call to find out what is going on! thank you for all of your concern! I am sure he is just fine! He is a very happy baby as long as his brother is not hitting him in the head or stomach! Someday he will get him back! =)

CAUTION: POTTY TRAINING IN PROGRESS!!!

It has been one week since we started potty training Matt! And so far he has been doing awesome! For some reason though when Ben gets home it all goes out the window! He only wears a pull up at night and if we leave the house. I read that if you put dish soap in the potty that when they go it will make bubbles! So that was the trick for him! He loves to see the bubbles and to put stickers on his potty chart!

Our only problem is getting him to not have an accident in his underwear! If he is naked from the waste down he knows to run to the potty but if he is wearing underwear sometimes he forgets! So we have been seeing a lot of little buns running around here. I feel like I should keep the blinds closed so our neighbors don't think we are some kind of weirdo!! So as each day goes by he is getter better and better. It certainly does wear on your patience though! I was ready to quit by the first 2 hours of trying! But as you can tell I am a very proud mom! So I hope I didn't bore you with all the cheesy details! It is really exciting to watch your baby grow in to a little person! We call Ben about 20 times a day and Matt will say "Daddy? Potty! Love you! Bye Bye!" It is really cute! He wanted to call Elmo one day, so I called Ben and asked for Elmo and Matt got on the phone while Ben talked like Elmo! When he hung up I asked him if he talked to Elmo and he said NO, Daddy! He is to smart for his own good! We can't even trick a 2 year old!!

Other than the potty training not much else is going on! Just a lot of yard work! Ben spent 3 full days pulling weeds and laying down wood chips! It was a lot of work but it looks great!! I'm sure our neighbors are happy now that they don't have to look at all the weeds! For anyone who knows what our yard looks like, you know how bad the weeds are! Ben pulled out ALL of them!! Matt and I helped as much as possible!

Just to let you now that Nick's appt will be on Friday the 16th! Some of you have been asking about it...This is only being done as a precaution! The doctor does not suspect anything, it's just that his head is so large she just wants to be absolutely sure that is a hereditary thing! There is no reason for concern at this time!

Watching mom make dinner!!

Just a quick note to say HI!

Nick went for his 2 month check up! Time sure does fly by! He is a big boy weighing in at 14lbs 13oz and 23" long! And as we have known since the beginning he has a huge head at 17" his head isn't even on the Dr's growth chart! So just as a precaution he has to have an ultrasound done on his head to make sure everything is fine! We are sure that it just runs in both of our families but the Dr wanted to be positive that's the reason! So just say a little extra prayer for our Nick Nick! We are unsure when it will be, we still need to make the appt.!

It is so hard to get a picture of him smiling because he always blinks from the flash! He is so smiley it is adorable! But I am a little bias! =)

Sorry it's been so long!!

We don't have much to report! It seems like each day blends into the next! We had the Janetzke family here Friday night! They were in town for a wedding and we were able to spend some time with them. We never get to see them since they moved to Houston! We hope someday they will be back in MI! Wishful thinking!!

The boys are doing great! I think Matt is still adjusting to the whole big brother thing. We are still trying to get past him hitting Nick or squeezing his cheeks. Someday Nick will get him back! It is hard to believe that Nick is already 8 weeks old! Where does the time go? Matt's new thing is to call Ben by his name instead of daddy! It's pretty funny but we have no idea why he started it!

We pray that everyone is doing great! Sorry that my entries are not that exciting but I was never good at writing! So bear with me and thanks for checking us out!

Just wanted to say Hi! I know it has been a while Everything is going great! Who can complain with 2 beautiful children! I think we have adjusted to all the changes. I have been able to start a daily routine and stick with it for the most part! =)

Nicholas is know sleeping for 4 hours at a time at night and it is wonderful! He definitely enjoys eating and gets cuter everyday! Matthew is a great helper who loves his little brother. I think it is a love-hate relationship. One minute Matt loves him and the next he is smacking him or pulling his hair! He really is doing great with the whole thing!

We had lots of family in town last weekend for Nicks baptism...so Matt had a crowd to show off for. His 2 favorite things to do is say NO and scream as loud as he possibly can-especially in the car! I think we are all going to lose our hearing soon! It gets old really quick!

Not much else to report! I should go so I can get working on all of our thank you notes! Talk to you soon!

It is hard to believe that it has been a week already. And we have all survived!

Grandma Heiden was here for a few days which was helpful with Matthew. Her being here allowed me to get some rest and was a playmate for Matt! He is a great big brother and helper. Sometimes he wants to help to much! He also wants to hold the baby whenever possible and likes to share his blankie with him, but only for a few minutes!!

The boys and I have survived are first few days at home alone and (knock on wood) so far so good! Besides the change in hormones...like crying for no reason...I have been feeling great. I felt even better when I was able to wear my regular jeans on Saturday. Anyone who has ever been pregnant knows that is the best feeling in the world!! =)

But seriously though we are all doing really well and look forward to watching our boys grow together! And hopefully be best buddies some day!!

I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone for all your emails, cards, gifts and prayers!! We feel so blessed to have such amazing family and friends!!

We will try to get some new pics of the boys posted soon!!

So it is official that is unless the baby has other plans...which we all know is very possible. As of right now we will be going in on Tuesday March 28th at 11:30am for a c-section. Due to the size of his head the Dr and I both agree it is the best thing for me to do.

Which is only one week from today so please keep us in your prayers that all will go well during and after. I am hoping Ben will be able to handle the operating room ok. I'm thinking he should wear a helmet in there in case he hits the floor. We all thought he would pass out when Matt was born but he did great. So I am sure he will do just fine.

As far as our first child is concerned he has developed into a typical 2.5 year old with attitude and all. I think he knows that his life is going to change because he has such an attitude right now. We are ready to ship him to Minnesota so Grandma and Grandpa Heiden ( who laugh about this) can deal with his personality! He may look like a Heiden but he acts like a McGhee! Poor kid! Other than that he is a good boy and will be a great big brother. He loves to help, so as long as he can be a helper we are all in good shape. I will have to teach him to change diapers or at least stop wearing them.

Not sure when the next entry will be...I need to show Ben how to do it so he can put up some pictures of the latest addition! We will try to get some up as soon as we can! Keep us in your thoughts and prayers next week as the big day gets closer!

Anybody out there?

Just in case anyone actually does read this, I thought I would give an update on the ultrasound!

The good news is, he is NOT breech! So that was good to hear... the bad news is...His head is HUGE! I am currently 36 weeks and he is measuring about 38 and his head is a whopping 40 weeks. Yes that's right it is 4 weeks ahead! And the doctor that I saw had the nerve to say it was no big deal and I could handle it since Matthew was a big baby!! But of course he is a man and has no clue what it feels like to push out a baby! Needless to say I was not happy with what he had to say to me by the time I left the office.

They said he is approximately 6lbs 9oz. Which the doctor said he is in the 75th percentile for his weight so he will be about the same size as Matt. (8-9lbs) So we will now play the waiting game as to when I will deliver.

Other than that, not much else has been going on. Looking forward to spring and having some nice weather for Matthew to be able to play outside and burn off some energy!

Baby update!!

Well, my doctor appointment has come and gone and so has my first trip to Labor and Delivery on Wednesday morning. I ended up the stomach flu and was very dehydrated. After being sicker than a dog Tuesday night into Wednesday morning I gave in and called my Dr and as expected was told to go to the hospital to get checked. Everything is fine but I have never felt so horrible and my wonderful husband took the day off of work and took excellent care of me (and Matt).

I did get some interesting news at my appt on Tuesday. We found out that the baby is in a complete breech position! Oh joy! In my mind I knew that he was laying in weird way, I could just tell by where I can feel him move. According to what the doctor could feel she said that his head is below my left rib and he is curved down so that his back runs down by my hip, he is butt down and his feet/knees are tucked up by my right rib. Which, having a head and feet constantly pushing on your ribs is not fun!! So anyhow, we will be going on Monday for our next ultrasound to check his position and weight. So Monday should be interesting, I can't wait to see what how big he is now. I am hoping his growth is equal to his actual due date now!

Hopefully he will move head down in the near future. If not, I have a few options...They can manually try to rotate him by having one doctor push on my belly as another tries to rotate him with there hands. This is done at the hospital in case of any complications should occur. I really don't want this done because it is painful and only works 50% of the time. Because sometimes the baby goes right back to how they were. I also have a friend who is a chiropractor and he said that he could do a certain adjustment that will make the baby move into position and that is works 70-80% of the time. If all else fails I would have a c-section...which we all know Ben may not do well in that situation. Ha Ha!

So we still have a lot to figure out. Monday will hopefully bring some answers. It is still possible for him to move on his own because he was head down at my last ultrasound which was 4 weeks ago! It is amazing what the babies do inside such a small space!!

Sleepy boy!!

This was taken about a week ago and will probably never happen again!!

I was making dinner one night and Matthew asked to put his pajamas on. I guess he is like his parents and wants to get into comfy clothes after a busy day!! So anyways, I get them on and per his request put on LaLa...aka Elmo!

I continued making dinner and Ben is still at work. I notice that he was very quiet, which for any of you who have been around him for more than 5 minutes know, that he DOES NOT sit still, let alone long enough to fall asleep. Seriously this was amazing that he fell asleep at 6:30 at night and was not sick. He slept like that for about an hour! I woke him up so he could eat something and he went to bed and slept all night!! I thought for sure he was getting sick, but luckily I was wrong!!

I go back to the Dr on Tuesday so check back soon! I am hoping to have some kind of baby update soon! I am running out of room and his movements are starting to hurt!

Matthew and his hero ELMO!!

Today we spent a fun filled afternoon at Sesame Street Live. It was a lot of fun to see how excited Matthew was to see all the characters on stage. We were unsure how he would do since he has about a 2 second attention span! But much to our surprise he was awesome!! And of course like all the other parents we fell into the trap of a souvenir! But we figured why not since the tickets were a Christmas gift! We also had really great seats and overall had a great day together as a family!! Cheesy I know, but true! =)

I don't have anything new to report about the baby. Still growing and still keeping me up at night. For some reason he always gets the hiccups when I decide to go to bed. He moves a lot more than Matthew ever did, which is really scary considering how active Matthew is now. We also have not decided on a name! We are leaning towards a certain name but we are keeping on the down low!I So I guess you will all have to wait until he is born!! Ha Ha!!

I will have another ultrasound at 36 weeks (which is in 2 weeks) to check on his size again. Depending on the results, we may need to make some decisions on possibly inducing me early before he gets too big. I am hoping he won't be any bigger than Matt was. So check back in a couple weeks and hopefully I will have some good news to share.

For any of our friends and family who are interested, we will be having the baby's baptism on Sunday April 23rd. It is the Sunday after Easter. We would love to have you share this special time with us!

Hope you are all staying healthy and warm! That is for those of us who are freezing out butts off in the Midwest. Not for those of you in San Diego or Houston. Enjoy all your warm weather and sun, because it was a HIGH of 20 today.

His head is how BIG???

Yes, that's right we will be having another baby with a big melon!! It must be all the brains in there! I went to the doctor today instead of next week because she was concerned that I have actually been losing weight!! Strange when your almost 8 months pregnant and you are losing it instead of gaining it!

So they did an ultrasound to check on the size of the baby and to make sure I have enough amniotic fluid. The good news is that everything is fine...the bad news is (at least for me) he is measuring 2 weeks ahead and his head is 3 weeks ahead (bad news)!! Gee, thanks doc for letting me know that! So they want me to have another ultrasound at about 36 weeks. I am 31 weeks right now...the baby is measuring 33 weeks! She also said he has an estimated weight of 4lbs 9 oz right now and I have only gained 9lbs total! So half of my weight is just baby!!! SCARY!

So please pray for me and that I don't go late and have a big baby with an enormous head!! Ha Ha, I know you all think it is funny, but your not the one that has to push him out!!

Other news in the Heiden house is Matthew is now in a big boy bed!! I think it was harder for me than it was for him. He has done amazing! He actually stays in it and even calls for me in the morning when he wakes up!! Although, yesterday he knocked on his door and called for me instead of just coming out!! He is such a goofball. He will even stay in his bed for a time out!! Which is unbelievable for a kid that won't sit for 2 seconds at the dinner table.

Anyhow, hope you are all doing well.

Snow Day!!

We finally had a Saturday that Ben did not have to work so we or I should say they took advantage of it and played outside. It was a good thing they went out in the morning because it had all melted by the afternoon! It was a struggle getting Matt dressed to go out and then it was a struggle getting him to come inside. Typical kid!

Nothing to exciting going on around here. Same old thing everyday! Ben has been working long hours, which is to be expected this time of year. He is working on a full wrap for 2 cars that they are doing for the NBA All Star Game and of course with NASCAR starting up in February that always has him busy this time of year. He didn't even get to see Matthew yesterday because he was sleeping when he left and was sleeping by the time he got home. So thank God for Grandma and Grandpa McGhee for helping me keep my sanity after being with 2 two year olds all day. I usually end up at there house if I know Ben won't be home for a while. Hope they don't mind!!

We still have not decided on a name. I guess we need to wait and see him first. I never understood that when other people would say it but this time I am so indecisive for some reason. Thanks for all the ideas. The baby and I are hanging in there. I have a Dr. appt. on Thursday, it is hard to believe I have to go every 2 weeks already, it is such a pain...you wait forever for the Dr and then they are with you for like 5 minutes...if that!

Hope I didn't bore you all to much, I just don't have anything to new to share! Besides it is nap time right now and I need to take advantage of that! =)

We need help choosing a name!!

I am hoping that with the second baby on the way...(only 11 weeks left!!) that this will be an easier way to keep every one up to date. I am 29 weeks along and everything is going the way it should be...you know back pain, being tired, eating all the time! But seriously we are all doing great.

We could really use some ideas for some boy names. Serious ideas though and NO Michael we will not name him Bruce. No offense to anyone who is named Bruce, it just isn't for us. We like traditional names, some of our thoughts are Joseph, Aaron, Adam and Nicholas. We will be using Benjamin as the middle name. So please if anyone has any ideas send them our way!!
